Here's a wonderful Queen Kat stamp from one of my favorite artists Sandra Caldwell.  Isn't she just adorable?  You know I had to color her up just like Raggedy Ann.  I just love Raggedy Ann stamps.  Super cute, huh?  Be sure and check out all of Sandra's images at the Queen Kat Store (click here).
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, AC Metallic, Neenah);  Stamps (Queen Kat);  Ink (Memento);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilites);  Border Punchs (Martha Stewart);  Bling (Michaels);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All); Color (Copic Markers);

It's a penguin.

Here's an adorable penguin stamp from Tiddly Inks.  Too Cute, huh?  Penguins just make me smile.  Makes me think of the Penguin house at the San Antonio zoo that I used to see the animals at when I was a child.  I can't really say, but sure looks like this penguin is smiling!
Project Materials:  Cardstock (AC, Neenah);  DigiStamp (Tiddly Inks);  DieCut (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Border Punch (EK Success);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk);  Color (Copic Markers);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All);

Twinkle Toes

This stamp is just adorable and it's perfect for summertime!  It's called Twinkle Toes Fleur by artist Elisabeth Bell.  I can't imagine anything cuter than this little girl dancing around with her fairy wings and her little flower skirt. I added some gorgeous lace and a little bling to top it off.
 Here's a close-up of the stamp image, which I have colored with Copic Markers.  Isn't it adorable?  The Sweet Pea store just released new stamps by artist Elisabeth Bell in addition to this cutie.  I would laugh and say that wouldn't it be funny if there were flowers taller than her, but even in Texas, where we lack water (and sometimes good soil) the sunflowers do grow taller than even me at 5'4", so I think the flowers could easily be taller than this kiddo.
Hope this card has inspired you to make something adorable for summertime.  Check out all the Elisabeth Bell stamps and check out the wonderful stamps on sale at the store.

Cheers, Holley

Too adorable

Here's the cutest little girl and her bunny!  I made this card for the Squigglefly Challenge this week.  This image is called Dragonfly Gaze by artist Diane Carubia .  The challenge on the blog this week is called Paper Piercing.  As opposed to the piecing that was just a couple weeks ago, piercing involves using a sharp needle to pierce the paper in a decorative manner.  Check out the amazing samples the design team made on the Challenge Blog.

Life if Beautiful

Here's a beautiful lady who is going to let you know it.  She just wants to say, "Life is Beautiful." Can't you tell?  I love to be around those people who can always say how wonderful things are, even in a sad situation.  Sometimes you just need to understand that a glass half full is better than an empty glass.  Shoot, sometimes you need to realize that a glass with one mouth full of water is just what you need to quench that thirst so be thankful, always!
This adorable image is from Kraftin' Kimmie of course.  I just love their adorable images from artist Annie Rodrigue.  The beautiful lace is some that I got last summer in Istanbul.

Hey Blog Hoppers, if you were in last week's hops, scroll down to WED (Jul 18) to see who the winners are on my blog.  If you haven't signed up for Saturday's prize, stop by and sign up!!  then keep your eyes out as tonight the winners from that hop will get posted!!

With You

Here's an awesome stamp from Tiddly Inks Digi-stamps,  Their images are just so adorable.  I colored up this girlie in pinks and made a great color combo in pink and brown.  Then I added this wonderful saying for my hubby.  "Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you I had no control over."
Just a note for everyone who has asked about the medical testing that they know happened on Friday, the tests stayed the same.  Neither up nor down.  I suppose that is good, of course better than the results going down, but it basically means that my white blood cell count has dropped from last year, not the desired test results. Hugs and thanks for your prayers.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (DCWV, Bazzil, Neenah);  Image (Tiddly Inks); Saying (Vellum JoAnns);  Roses (Unknown); Die Cut (Lifestyles);  Brads (Making Memories); Border Punch (Martha Stewart);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Ribbon Glue);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk);  Color (Copic Markers);

Cuppie Cake

Here's an adorable little set of cuppie cakes.  This cute little stamp was just a dollar.  Too adorable to pass up though.  Now, if I could just find a pile of cup cakes for a dollar.  That would be also too irresistable to pass up!!  That cute little cherry on top reminds me of my cousin.
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah); Stamps (Studio G):  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Flowers (Prima);  Brads (Making Memories); Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilites);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all);  Color (Copic Markers);

Butterfly Kisses from Stella

The card below is a more whimsical treat with a very sexy woman from Sweet Pea artist Nikki Burnette called Stella.  I just love those over the knee socks (or stockings).  Those just look like something I would wear.  I added a wonderful saying to the card "Butterfly Kisses."
Hope these cards make you want to go and create some cards today.  Be sure and check out these artists stamps at the store as well as the wonderful SALE that is happening.  Wish me luck today, I am off to the doc to get a new blood test.  Last time I went my white blood count went down (that's BAD!!).  Hoping for a much better test today.

Bloom where you are planted

Happy Tuesday everyone.  Here's a fun card that I did this week for the Squigglefly Challenge which is to use Paper Piecing.  To do paper piecing, you can print your digi stamp image onto different printed papers (or plain color papers) and then trim it out to create your card.  In my image, A Basket of Blooms design by Lynne Stansbery, I printed the image twice, once on a light brown patterned paper and once on white paper.  I colored the image on the white paper and trimmed it out, layering my final card.
Hope this card inspires you to give the Squigglefly Challenge a try this week.  Drop by their blog and join in on the contest fun!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, Provocraft, DCWV);  Image (Squigglefly);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk);  Brads (Heidi Grace); Die Cuts (Lifestyles);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers); Saying (JoAnns Vellum);

Summer Rain

I know in many areas there has just been TOO much rain, but here in South TX we are definitely in a drought situation and our two rainiest months are now over, so we are hoping for the rain.  So I created this adorable card with this cutie to request a little rainfall.  This fun stamp is from CC Designs and this card uses all sorts of wonderful papers from Paper Temptress.
The base of the cardstock is a beautiful yellow (which you all know I love!) called Solar Yellow; The image and the edging, which is punched with a border punch from EK Success is wonderful Neenah Solar White;   There's a tiny sliver of metallic green on the bottom (that's why we always save those little off cuts!!), it's a wonderful shimmery green too, that goes perfectly under the flowers leaves called Emerald Mica;  The saying comes on vellum which gives a wonderful translucent appearance.

Hoping for some rain for us this week.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Cheers, Holley

Yellow Teddy

So earlier in the week, Squigglefly started a challenge to pick your favorite color and make a card with it.  I started with orange for the sun, because in the morning, the sun is a big orange ball on the horizon.  Well as the day goes on, that orange ball turns into a blazing star that is if anything probably white, but often associated with the color yellow, so here I have made a yellow card, which is probably my second favorite color.  This adorable image is from Squigglefly artist Cheryl Alger and is called Peyton the Bumbling Bear.
You have just this morning to finish up your card for this week and turn it in to Squigglefly for the color challenge, else a brand new game will start up tomorrow morning at 7am!  They will also be annoucing the winner of last week's contest then too.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Digi Stamp (Squigglefly);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk);  Lace (Istanbul, Turkiye);  Stars (Unknown);  Color (Copic Markers); Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Ribbon Glue);  Buttons (American Traditionals);

L.O.V.E.

This card is using a wonderful stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps artist Anna Marine, image from Plate #141 and is called L.O.V.E. All I can say is WOW, isn't that what you wanna give your love? She's decked out in a black nightie with skin toned tights on. That would make every hubbie go "Oooo la la!" I added some wonderful heart fringe on the sides of the card and some bling. I used a wonderful Sweet Pea stamps saying "Have a Magical Day"

Here's a closeup of the image as I colored it. Can you imagine if you put this card in your husband's lunchbox (i.e. brief case, ....) and then had that outfit later on?
This artist has some wonderful images, both some very pretty and elegant style and some very sexy and romatic style. Check them all out. And while at the Sweet Pea store, check out the current sale.

Think this card will inspire my husband to some romance?  I hope so!

Christmas in July?!? I guess that might seem odd, but when you are going to handmake four or five dozen cards, starting in July is the way to go!  Just think about it, you could make a few cards every week and be done by the beginning of December in time to get them in the mail!  Well, Queen Kat has that idea in mind and they are releasing some adorable christmas theme stamps to help you out.  This cutie is called Old Just Be Claus and is designed by artist Sandra Caldwell (click here).
So start thinking about a christmas card or two now so come fall time your work load will already be done and you can be so proud to hand out those wonderful handmade cards.

Squigglefly Challenge Time

Happy Monday!  You know what that means, it means that it's time for a Squigglefly Challenge.  This week's challenge is done by my team, the Holley Hobbyists!  I have several new team members this week as the new design team is starting this month.  Welcome.....

The challenge this week is called Summer Color.  The Challenge is for YOU to pick your favorite summer color and make your card in that color.  I chose orange, because the beginning of the summer days here in Texas, you see the orange sun rising in the sky for the heat of the day.  We've had a hot month already with a record breaking number of days over the 100 degree range.  The great stamp I am using here is called Latte Break by artist Fawn Palmer.  The adorable saying below comes with the stamp!
In addition to the funny statement above, the stamp also comes with two more great sayings!! Click here to see them.  You get the image and three sayings for one price!  To join in the challenge this week, Pick your favorite summer color and hop on over to the Squigglefly Blog.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, Paper Temptress);  DigiStamp (Squigglefly);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk);  DieCuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities;  Corner by Memory Box);  Adhesives (Glue Dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers);

July Challenge

Well, it's the beginning of the month, so you know what that means!  It's time for the monthly challenge from Crafter's Companion USA Challenge.  This month is anything goes....just as long as you use a stamp set from Crafter's Companion.  Here's a sample that I made, using a fun set from SWALK called "A Little Birdie Told me."
Go on by the Crafter's Companion USA Challenge Blog and check out this month's contest for your chance to win a huge prize.  The gorgeous ribbon I am using on this card is some that I got last summer while in Istanbul.  YUM.  This card is the first time I have used it.  Believe it or not, I still have wonderful goodies from that trip that I have not used yet!  YEP, I came home with so many wonderful treats from that vacation, that I still have fun stuff to share on many future cards.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Rubber Stamp (Crafter's Companion SWALK);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Ribbon (Istanbul, Turkiye);  Embellishments (Michaels);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Ribbon Glue, Glue dots);  Color (Copic Markers);
