Happy New Years Eve!

Here's a gorgeous image from Stamping Bella to bring in the New Year!  Wish I could claim I will be up partying tonight to bring in 2014, but that is just highly unlikely.  I know myself too well.  I like my sleep.  I like my sleep, A LOT.  But you people who love to party, have one for me!
Hope everyone has a wonderful 2014!! Let's all start off the new year with a fresh start and hopefully keep all those resolutions (i.e. make some REAL resolutions). HA!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill Swiss, Neenah,); Flowers (Basic Grey); Image (Stamping Bella); Sentiment (Cosmo Cricket); Bling (Recollections);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue dots); Color (Copic markers);

Here's a stunning image from Make it Crafty. I just love their gorgeous stamps.  I stumbled on their website a while back and had to get a handful of their images.  I am making this card in green, which is unusual for me, but I think I am getting better at using other colors on occasion.....

I've got your love to keep me warm.

Sharing this gorgeous image that I got from Queen Kat stamps today. She's called Minty from artist Nikki Burnette.  What a gorgeous girl!  I just love her outfit. I colored her up in red and white to match the candy cane, but just image if you colored the candy cane in a different color....then you could change up her outfit to match!  It makes me think of those stores I would go into as a kid where you would see ALL these different flavors of candy canes in every color combination.  If only I could dress to match!

I added the perfect sentiment for the DH, "I've got your love to keep me warm."

Project materials:  Cardstock (MAMBI, AC, Neenah, Bazzill); Diecuts (Spellbinders); Stamp (Queen Kat); Ink (Memento); Brands (Recollections, Bazzill); Sentiment (Cosmo Cricket); Color (Copic Markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All)

I give great hugs

Here's a sweet and simple Magnolia card using Tilda holding a heart and a vellum sentiment "Give Great Hugs"  Isn't she darling?  I must say she does make me want to go and give her a hug.  Find someone around you today who needs a hug and reach out.  During the holidays a lot of people may seem happy, but the stress level for many is very high and many people are actually dealing with family issues, loss of loved ones and financial stress that makes this time of year a huge depression.
So reach out today and give some great hugs.  I think there are a lot of people that you know who probably need one!

Porject Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, AC Metallic); Image (Magnolia); Sentiment (Colorbok); Lace (); Bling (Michaels); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nesatbilities); Color (Copic markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all, Glue dots);

Just be You

Here's a great stamp I got from Tiddly Inks some time ago, "You are enough, just as you are."  In the end everything you have and everything you do needs to matter to you and those close to you.  Don't care what others think.  Do what's good for you and what makes you happy, because YOU are the one that has to live with yourself :)

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes.  Thanks to Ms Arlene for the fabulous lunch and trip to the scrapbook store.  Thanks to Ms Dene for the awesome time we spent together.  you are the Gma I always wished for and my very dear friend.  Hugs to the hubby for the bday goodies.  Hope all my other bday pals (aka people I share the 14th with, at least three come to mind immediately!) have a special day too!

Cheers, Holley

I put a spell on you

Here's a great stamp from Sweet Pea artist Helena Reis called I put a Spell on you.  I just LOVE this stamp, both it's shape and it's design.  I made this card with some stunning papers from Paper Temptress.

The base of the card is a shimmery mica cardstock called Kunzite.  I am using a Hambly Screenprint on top of it that has a purple Japanese printing as well as a golden shimmer to it.  This sheet is sold individual as Japanese Print.  You can also get a wonderful assortment of these papers in a precut 6"
x 6" assortment, perfect for card making.  I punched a border on the right hand side.  To give the card a little extra depth and texture, I added a simple strip of Black Grandee Feltweave, dusted with some white ink.  It's a simple addition to the card that really adds to the flow across the image as well as the depth.
